A Day Of Coding

December 4, 2015 - News Post

Today's comic was meant to go out a couple weeks ago, but in a rare change of pace, I completed it a day or two early. I happened to show it to Adam (my only friend besides you) who pointed out that it was waaaaaay too similar to a joke made by some webcomic I had never heard of. He saved me a great deal of potential pain, with the exception of having to write a new comic.

I didn't want to waste the art (I don't redo ANYTHING for these comics), which meant it took a couple weeks to come up with something that works. I'm still not 100% satisfied, but at least I'm not ripping anyone off (that I know of).

I hope you like it. If not, well, there will be a new one on Tuesday. Maybe you'll hate that one less..

In other news, did you see that Samurai Jack is coming back to Adult Swim?!?

I would make some sort of snide remark about how modern entertainment is all about recognizable properties (possibly something about Terminator Genisys, Jem and the Holograms, or that Star-something movie coming out in a few days), but I'm too damn excited. Just like everyone else, I enjoy a bit of nostalgia every now and then. How else would movie studios get my money?

I have enough experience to know in my heart that these things rarely work out well, but I always enjoyed the music and unique style of that show. I'm hoping the revival turns out to be one of the good ones.
