Apple vs. FBI

February 19, 2016 - News Post

For those of you not in the US, here's an article explaining the situation Apple has found itself in this week. It will be truly interesting to watch this play out.

On a personal note, oh ho ho my, what a week.

I'm finally back home, still recovering from the game jam last weekend. Between the time zone difference, pushing my brain to its limits for 48 hours, traveling, and working at weird hours, I'm a freakin' zombie right now.

As I brought up Tuesday, it was good to see so many friends back in Portland. It was also great to catch up on their projects. I'll probably mention a few of those here in the coming days. For example: If you are a Unity developer, you should check out LaneMax's Circular Gravity Force in the asset store. It does a fantastic job of allowing you to manipulate physics in 3d environment without any code. And hey, Circular Gravity Force is also featured on the Unity 24-hour sale today (Friday), so if you're going to buy it, now's a pretty good time.

Alright, that's as close as I'm going to get to a commercial. Lane has refused to pay me to say any of this, but I suppose you should check it out anyway... If you feel like it.

That's about it from me today. It's my lunch break now, and I'm going to hit the library. This past weekend aside, I feel like my brain has been rotting away from disuse. I'm hoping that reading a book or two will slow that process. I have to try something... we can't all just sit around reading webcomics all day.
